XB1 best headset?

I have the turtle beach XO fours. They're good but I want to know what's better. I call gamestop and they don't have that many answers. What's everyone playing with now?

I also agree.... I just purchased my XB1 10 days ago. Now I learn that I could have gotten a free bundled game - it does seem odd.. Why wouldn't I just take my XB1 back to Best Buy and they can send it back to Microsoft... Or whatever Best Buy was going
to do with my returned XB1?

 

I have the Turtle Beach XO Sevens. They are nice and I like them a lot!

 

I'm using the EarForce Atlas Headset, which I'm pretty sure is just the XO Four's with a $50 dollar paint job lol. I like em a lot! Sound seems to be decent, and they're pretty comfy with my Gunnar RPG's during my last few 4 to 6 hour Titanfall sessions.

Unfortunately I think that without having "Surround Sound" support, they're almost all the same at this point. "They" being the XO Fours/Sevens/Atlas, Polk 4-Shot, and Xbox Stereo Headsets.. just Stereo sound with some small variations in Sound/Build quality.
Hopefully they can patch it in sometime in the future!

And they gotta fix that damn adapter! It's driving me nuts! Haha.

 

What's annyoing to me is I can't figure out how to control the chat vs game audio anyone else?

 

Ah yeah that took me a few days to figure out too haha.

So when you first turn on the headset, it's at a 50/50 mix of game and chat volume. Press the Controller with the plus symbol to raise the Game Volume and lower the Chat Volume. Press the little Person with a Plus symbol to do the opposite, raising the Chat
and lowering the Game Volume. Holding the Chat or Game button will bring it all the way to whatever side you're holding down. (I hold the Chat Volume to max out the Chat, then press the Game button twice. That seems to be my preferred setup.)

When you find a comfortable mix of volume, use the Plus and Minus buttons on the right to raise/lower the Master Volume to where you want.

That's how I figured it should work. I will try again but it seems like the left buttons seem to work exactly like the +/- buttons. So when I hit the top left everything goes up and the bottom left everything goes off. Well I will give it. A try again. I
have the xofour and the x42. They basically both sound the same which I think is weird since the x42 is "surround"

 

Thanks now I got it working. Gonna stay with the xofour

 

Anytime! And yeah the X42 I'm pretty sure is a surround headset, but currently the adapter is only a Stereo Adapter... They said somewhere they might be able to change that in a future patch. Let's hope that's true!
