    XB1 Backwards Compatibility Games Constant 500mb+ Updates?


    Hey guys I got a curious question for all of you. I currently have around 30 360 games installed on my console and I'm having an annoying issue when trying to play them...
    Constantly, most of the games would tell me that I need to do a 500mb+ update almost every week. Is this normal or is something glitched?

    Back on the 360 there was constant mini 'kb' sized updates for games (someone said they were piracy checks, and they always occured after not playing the game for a while), is this still the case for the One except the checks
    are now 500mb+? I don't see any changes, news or performance tweaks for these old games so I find this very odd...

    Is anyone else experiencing these annoying weekly 500mb+ updates?

    If not, are there any plans for the app to support broadcasting 360 games via the backwards compatibility emulation?

    Yes.Most won't use dlc's.Just played Red Dead Redemption Online.It was great on the 360.After a 7+GB update on the One it is now very laggy and completely broken.Took 10 minutes to pick a flower.

    Yes.Most won't use dlc's.Just played Red Dead Redemption Online.It was great on the 360.After a 7+GB update on the One it is now very laggy and completely broken.Took 10 minutes to pick a flower.

    How much space do hidden op/system files take?

    The 6GB that is missing, isn't actually missing. The 20GB hard drive is about 18GB when formatted. Out of that 18GB, 5GB is reserved for a hard drive cache, storage for game updates and original Xbox backwards compatibility. The Xbox 360 O.S itself is
    less than 500MB.

    I would recommend waiting until E3 to see what MS announces before making that decision. If you can't do that then look at the backwards compatibility list (

    majornelson.com/.../xbox-one-backward-compatibility     ) and see if there are games you want to play that are also on XB1 now and if so, get the XB1.
