    XB One Strict NAT


    We have 3 Xbox Ones in the house. Two wired and one wireless.

    Console 1 - Wired - has had strict NAT for a few days

    Console 2 - Wired - Open NAT

    Console 3 - Wireless - Open NAT

    Console 1 is my one and I am struggling with joining games (via invites) and when I send a game invite, my friends mostly do not recieve it, if they do then they usually get a connection error after accepting it.

    I have changed it to wireless but still the same.

    What could I possibly need to change in order to get an open NAT? I don't understand how the other two consoles can be fine but mine is suddenly stuck with a strict NAT.

    EDIT: I have done a hard reset on both the console and my router but this has not fixed the issue

    Xbox One NAT type: Strict.... Help

    If it's still strict after you open the proper ports, try resetting your modem and router, then hard reset your console.

    This site will help you open the right ports
    Open Port

    Just select your router and follow the instructions. Do not download anything from the site, it's not necessary. It's a safe site, but port forwarding manually is very easy.

    Cannot figure out how to get open NAT, tried everything

    I turned off xb, unplugged it, unplugged modem, connected xb to modem and turned everything back on and still strict.

    can anyone help...... open nat on xbox moderate on cod ghosts

    Hi guys

    I have/had a lot of the same problems. Yesterday I started looking into it. I have strict on XB one, and moderate on Ghosts. Tried everything without success. I have a homecentral from my ISP and Dlink 655. I started to think that the problem might be with
    the central from the ISP, and it was. They put the central in "bridge" mode - i setup up my dlink with dhcp and uPnP enabled. No port forwarding or DMZ. I still have strict on the ONE, but in Ghosts it now says open for the first time!!! I restarted the one
    several times, open in Ghost everytime.

    I ran the multiplayer test and got the extra NAT info on the Xb one and it replied " your xbox one is behind a firewall or is not connected", that was just after playing an online FFA in Ghosts with NAT open (could here guys chatting etc.)

    So I'm still struggeling to get my xb one showing OPEN, but at least I feel a solution is getting closer :)

    Why having troubles with NAT type ?

    You need to explain the issue in detail. Is your xbox getting a moderate or strict NAT? Is it a double NAT? If it's the moderate or strict NAT, look into port forwarding or placing the xbox one in a DMZ through your router.

    Have you testet CoD Ghosts one the xb one's? And if so, what have you got on the nat there?
