XB 1 Turns itself back on

After turning the console off, it will magically turn back on in ten secs. I know I have posted this before, but no one had a fix. Anyone know a fix yet? No, the kinect is not plugged in. Thanks!

Also, do you think this will be fixed through the update??

Xbox One TV Control Issues

Same with me for #1. XBOX ON will turn on the XB, stereo, and TV. But XBOX OFF only shuts down the XB, leaving me to turn the stereo and TV off with a remote like some kind of cave man.

 

Console turns itself back on

OK, So I have just recently set up my Xbox back up after a move. I had installed the new dashboard and when I went to turn it off a few seconds later it turned itself back on again. Attempted to turn off the console and again a few seconds later it turns
itself on.

I have made sure that there are no controllers that are causing it to turn on. I don't have a kinect set up. Not sure why it's doing this.

EDIT1:Woops, Forgot to also mention. After I turn it off. The power button flashes (Like it does when it's doing the background download) and then after one flash it turns back on.

EDIT2: OK, So I have found the reason it seems. I turned off background DL's and it doesn't do it anymore...anyone know why this would be happening? :/

ah god i hope not, already sent in controllers now a kinect. no luck at all

 

Make sure that your controllers not plugged into the console and make sure you turn the controller off first, i had this problem but it was the controller turning it back on, sorry if ive suggested this to you before, i don't remember names lol.

That's harsh. You seem to be having a run of bad luck. We all go though that sometimes. I had to put a starter relay on my girlfriends Ford. After the third one didn't work, I was convinced the auto parts store was giving her back the same part. I marked
it. Lol. After the fifth one, I went to another store; fixed. I found out later the first store I purchased from got a bad lot of them.

karch: controllers working, at least it seems to be working fine.

BAZRA: what do you mean? I dontplug the controllers in (wireless dock). So I would have to manually turn off controllers, then hit power button on console to shut down? I hope not, that would be a pain.

Im not sure if the wireless dock keeps the controller on or not, but if it does thats your problem. If you have ever done a reset of the console with the controller on, the system automatically restarts because the controller is still powered on. Seems like
an , oversight on that.

 

so say no controller is on the dock, and i hold the xbox button on the controller, select turn off console....will that power the console back on, or will the controller turn off? When i am having this problem, the console and the controller both turn off,
and then only the console logo lights back up, not the controller, if that helps clear up my issue, thanks 24hrs2live.

 

OP, do you keep your XB1 in stand by mode or energy saver?

 

How does the power button on the machine actually work? I know it is a little too easy to activate. My young children passing/playing near it it always turns it on and it gets annoying. Thank god for the voice commands so I don't have to get the controller
etc.. Be nice to have only turn on via voice/pad options

 

OVANITE- Standby mode.

I was told by support today to remove my account from the xbox, then hard rest, and unplug everything. then wait ten minutes and plug everything back in and sign back in. does this sound right?
