    X1X Scorpio 100Mpbs only?


    I have a XBox One X Scorpio Edition and the ethernet port on it will not switch to Gigabit. I am using a Cat6 cable and a gigabit router, no other switching equipment in between. Tested the connection with a laptop and it goes to 1000Mbps. However, when
    I plug the Xbox back in the port goes back to 100Mbps. I tried resetting the XBox, resetting the router, still the same issue. It actually runs faster off the WiFi.

    Did Microsoft sell me 100Mbps card in the X1X claiming it was gigabit?

    Or is there a way to fix this?

    Any help would be appreciated it!

    Just to verify, are you using the same CAT6 cable when testing between X1X and laptop?

    Try plugging the X1X in again and start a download.. something to trigger network activity. Watch the status of the port - I've seen where multiple people are saying it's 1000 when active, but registers 100 when idle.

    Same cable.

    Just tried downloading Destiny 2 since I've never downloaded it before and I know it's not cached. Port stayed 100Mbps in the router interface and registered 93.33 Mbps under the Detailed network statistics on the Xbox itself

    My X1X has been in this same configuration since I first purchased it. It is not the Scorpio edition, but is an initial launch preorder console. The problem has only become an issue in the last few months and seems to be getting a bit worse over time.
    I will test your suggestions and reply back with results.

    Noise with Xbox one X

    My X1X Scorpio Edition was incredibly loud while watching blu-ray movies. Even about 15 feet away, it was still distractingly loud. Had to do an RMA. Couldn't do an advance exchange or even an exchange in store because it was the Project Scorpio edition.
    Being told it could take upwards of 28 days to repair. Really poor service from Microsoft if you ask me.
