X1X Dolby Atmos keeps shutting up

Hi folks.

I have recently set up X1X with Denon AVR-X2400H Dolby Atmos receiver with HDMI and succesfully configured Dolby Atmos with Dolby Access App. However, the problem begins here.

1) The sound (all kind of sound such as cursor movement) randomly keeps shtting up in Dolby Atmos mode.

2) It sounds again when I change the sound option into something else (DD or DTS), and back to to Atmos. But it randomly turns off again afterwards.

3) This happens only when I am in X1X home menu. If I run games or movies before it shuts up, it is alrignt. However, once it became muted, no apps or games produces sound until I change the sound output option again.



I am not sure if the problem is my X1X or the receiver. Please advise if anyone aware of similar situation.

Atmos Problem

 

Xbox will only output sound in Dolby Atmos

Since the April Xbox One update, my Xbox will now only output sound in Dolby Atmos mode, even when the content I am watching does not support Dolby Atmos. Before the update, there would only be Dolby Atmos sound when the show or movie I was watching supported
Dolby Atmos. This isn't all that bad, except with Dolby Atmos I am unable to change the sound mode that my soundbar outputs. For example, when I am watching sports, I can't change the sound to sports mode because it thinks my cable service is somehow providing
Dolby Atmos sound.

 

I was having similar issues. Sad to report that there is no fix yet, but Microsoft is aware of the Dolby problems. Your receiver is fine, it's the Xbox that is the problem.

I set up my surround system 2 Dec 17 and everything worked perfectly including Atmos. Microsoft pushed an update 7 Dec 17 and Dolby support went to hell.

 

same problem here. Have seen this problem before however it does seem to occur more frequently this time.

 

Same issue here on X1X. I have a Denon X2300W. Atmos is fine until randomly when going to the home screen it will stop. The only way to get it to come back is to flip it to DTS and back.

 

I have a similar issue, except my Atmos will just stop in-game. If I hit the guide button, I can hear the receiver drop it off Atmos. Hit guide again and Atmos is back. I have a Onkyo tx-nr656 and X1X scorpio

 

I am experiencing the same issue. It is almost as if the sound is not constant, I will lose Dolby Atmos. On my receiver I can switch to a different sound source (e.g. multi channel stereo) and then flip back to Dolby and it will come back. If I am watching
a movie it will working just fine, but if I am playing a game, such as Halo, in between matches I will have sound cut out.
