    X12 Headset - Super Quiet Voice?


    Turtle Beach X12 headset is super quiet for some reason. They can hear me fine but other people are quiet. Voice chat volume on the xbox and on the headset is turned all the way up. The USB/audio cables are plugged in, as is the one going to the controller
    and the game sound is fine.

    What would cause this?

    The X12 are a wired headset, so no interference whatsoever.

    Just to let everyone know, I ended up buying a Turtle beach Ear force x12 headset and found that it didn't have any problems with voice recognition. Also the headset was £20 cheaper and felt lighter. I definitely would recommend the X12's over AX180s any
    day.

    Why would you want to? The X12's have mic monitoring I believe so you can hear your own voice through the headset?

    Headset adapter cuts out during game-play

    Just a heads up... If you don't uncheck the " Use Kinect for chat" checkbox, it still picks up voice through the Kinect even though your headset is being used.

    Not sure if this will fix your issue, just found this when using my Turtle Beach X12's. Luckily I've not had any voice/sound issues with the X12's.

    X12 - I hear chat and game volume together....why?

    Check Preferences>Voice and see if you have "Play Through Headset" checked off. That is probably the problem. I had to that when i first got x12's too xD.

    XO7's volume at max is a little low

    I'm glad I have come across this as I bought xo7s yesterday and thought exactly the same thing. They are really quiet in comparison to the x12's I was using on the 360. I have spoken with Turtle beach and they say it is Microsofts adaptor. They need to fix
    this, but in the meanwhile I have decided to return my headset.
