I am not sure what you are trying to do but ideally it would be Receiver (Out to X1 IN) then X1 (Out to TV). Then plug the optical for the astros into the X1. you will get all sound from the receiver and the X1 from the X1.

No, ythose on the 360 side will get a message saying they need to upgrade to the x1 when they try to message a x1 user and for the x1 side they will get an option to "gift" credit for him to buy a x1 when he tries to msg him. People that upgraded their account
to x1 will still appear on their 360 friendlist with a shinier gamertag to encourage them to buy the x1.

If X1 supported Keyboard and Mouse, and Rome 2 came out for the X1, I would buy the X1 in a heartbeat.
