X1 won't turn on!!

OK so I know there are a lot of other posts that are similar to my issue, but unfortunately my issue has not yet been addressed. So to make it easy I will put my issues in an easy way to read.

Issues.

1. X1 turns on and then turns off about 5 seconds in (most of the time.)

2. When it does go past 5 seconds the HDMI cable is not connected, and connecting it does nothing. (The image has shown up 2 times briefly after resetting the console by unplugging it and being the power button for 30 seconds.)

3. When I am unable to do a system restore by plugging a USB drive init does not stay oblong enough.

4. When I do get the Xbox to stay on (still no image) it will not shut off unless I hold the power button for 5 seconds.

Things I have tried.

1. Holding the power and eject button to turn it on. (Turns on then off)

2. Differenthdmi cables.

3. Different TV

4. Different outlet. ( straight into outlet.)

5. System restote.

6. Resetting power brick.

The power brick is not the issue, I have 2 x1's and I used the working boxes power supply to test. I am dumbfounded currently and can't figure this out. If it was an over heating issue why would it turn on without the cable sometimes? If it was an HDMI issue
why would it show the picture those two times then shut off? Any HP would be greatly appreciated.

X1 stopped turning on and off my audio receiver since update

After the Feb update, my X1 won't turn my 360 on or off any more,. Prior, it would always turn it on, although it only turned it off about half the time. Very disappointed in the XboxOne.

 

Xbox completely crashed. Don't know what to do.

I've noticed my X1 won't go into "instant on" mode after playing minecraft, after playing I turn the console off and it turn's fully off (orange light on the power brick). It also wont turn back on with the controller.

 

Did you make sure that when you connected the power supply straight to the power outlet there was no extension cord or surge protector connected? As this can give issues since the Xbox One has a built in surge protector

If you did make sure of that I believe it's best to send your console in for a repair as you seem to have tried all suggestions of the support page

Update-

It appears to be an issue with the hard drive cables/hard drive. I took the hard drive out, turned it on and it turns on every time, but as soon I try starting it with the hard drive installed it turns on then off. The hard drive isn't the issue as I tested
my other Xbox hard drive as well.

 

If you have internal issues with the console you should ship it off for repair as tinkering with it yourself can be seen as tampering and violates the
Code of Conduct



Or did you just mean a general external harddrive which you use for Xbox ?

 

Mine is doing the same thing, just started yesterday. Warranty is over. Showed no signs of this before.
