    X1 turning off unexpectedly midgame.


    The following issue came up a few days (maybe a week) ago. When I play games the console just shuts-off unexpectedly, without warning or anything. This doesn't happen when I'm in the menu, or dashboard, only when in-game. After reading into it, I tried some
    suggestions, like I powered down the console, plugged it out from the outlet, and waited like 30mins for it to cool off. After this I could play for like 1 to 3 hrs varying. But then again the shutdown begins. First I assumed that it's maybe the power brick,
    so I tried plugging it to the wall directly, but the same happened. I don't really notice the lights changing on it either. I tried the 10sec hold powering off, and did a factory reset as well, but no change. I think it must be overheating, cause the top of
    the console is really hot. It's in an open space, so it shouldn't get that hot btw. And also that would explain why it works after like 30min inactivity.

    So the problem comes here, the console was purchased by my girlfriend for me in the US, last Christmas. She brought it to me when she moved in to Hungary this June. Here we have different voltage, so we had to get a different power brick, but it worked with
    that until now. I checked the myservice.xbox.xom site for a repair, but it says it would cost me 100€. Right after Christmas I don't have that kind of an extra money on me, is there maybe any other solution anyone could suggest?

    I'd just like to add that we do have pages with troubleshooting information regarding your console turning off unexpectedly or not how it's supposed to.

    If I were you, I'd check the articles either entitled
    Troubleshoot Xbox One unexpectedly turning off     for the Xbox one or
    Xbox 360 console turns off unexpectedly     for the Xbox 360.

    Look that over and let us know if that information helped you out with the issue
