X1 stopped turning on and off my audio receiver since update

D Dub, have you tried manually entering your remote code (you can probably find this in your manual or searching your model online) or trying another Onkyo model? Odds are Onkyo uses the same or only a couple of remote codes for their receivers. I'm sure
if you played around you could find something that works.

 

Tried those ideas. The issue is, it turns the receiver on and then off immediately, once its on all the volume controls work and it will also power off fine. If I uncheck the turn receiver off box in settings, it turns on the receiver without turning it
off again, but then it will not power it off. Very strange. My model number is ONKYO TX-SV414PRO, but it only lists the non pro model. I think it's an issue with connect sending out a double blast at startup.

 

Oops sorry I didn't read your posts from earlier in the topic or I already would have known the answer to my last question! Is there any chance your TV and audio receiver have the same remote code? Maybe that could be causing the double IR blast at start
up? They could share the same power toggle signal under that remote code. Let me know what you find.

 

Which manual remote code are you trying to use? Can you try these?

Hey Unholy. Tried all the codes, but no luck. Very odd.

 

I have the exact same problem as D DUB NASTY with a Sherwood RX4105. Turns on then off immediately. It definitely seems like a double ir blast... Didn't use to do this before the feb update. The march update hasn't fixed the issue.

 

Nice to see I'm not alone. Lol Mine never worked, but I did hook everything up on the day of the update, so who knows.

 

Just got the march 4th update and the issue has been fixed for me. I have a samsung HWF450 and it's working fine. I hope this issue has been corrected for everyone else.

 

Sad to say, the March update did not fix my issue.

 

I just noticed my Xbox doing this after the March update. I have an older Onkyo HTR500 that worked fine until this latest update. Now it is working just like you described. "Xbox on" turns it on and then off like it is sending two IR signals.

 

Update: I got mine working. First I tried deleting and then re-adding my receiver but that didn't correct the issue. Next I tried deleting and then adding it as the next model up HTR510 instead of 500. Everything seems to be working now.

 

Boocif. Maybe I will try the same model number that you used. Lol Will try this tonight. You mentioned that this is an older receiver. Is it hooked up through Hdmi, optical or Left and right av cables?

 

Update: I tried the model number HTR510 and it actually turned on the receiver and it stayed on with no issue. I was so happy until I found out, it would not turn the receiver off. It seems some codes activate at fast and slow speeds. The slower speed keeps
the receiver on, but will not power it off. The search continues.
