X1 reset?

So, on the heels of the 360 thread on wiping clean a HD/memory..... what is the best way to reset/erase the memory of a X1? I do have a CC on file (which I will remove), I have found the "reset console" option in the settings..... anything else I need to
do?

MS is allowing $220 on trade on a new X1 S for my X1.... pretty hard to turn down that deal IMO.... my 360 was worth $120 (which seems pretty decent to), but only one console per person on trade...

Additional Comments = If you're wondering why " Return From The Different Dimension " is there is that the CPU uses a lot of remove from play capable cards, thus I place it in this set-up despite the fact that I don't have any cards that remove things
from play.

Where is this deal at? Also that is all you need to do to wipe your old xbox one console so you can trade it in on the new Xbox one S.

When I upgraded to the Slim I just deleted my GT, games then performed a Factory Reset. I believe a Factory Reset would be all you need but I just like to make double sure

Yep,factory reset is all that is needed.

Just make sure you delete everything & don't choose the "don't delete games" option.

 

So I removed the CC on the console. Then removed my account. Performed factory reset (everything)..... and it is a blanked out console now.... ready to ship. Thanks for the help!

 

no need to remove the cc as that is attached to your account which is on the console, just fully factory reset and your good, remember to make your new xbox your home console once you have your account setup on it.
