X1 power button

I need to know if there's any way to shut off the functionality on the power sensor on my x1. I never use it but my one year old son is always hitting it and turning it off. It's pissing me off to no end. I can't even block the thing with card board or
anything because it's so sensitive that it responds to everything. I taped a piece of card board to the front of it. I did so in a manner, hoping it was close enough to be stuck in a constant trigger mode so that it wouldn't respond anymore. Didn't work. The
fraction of an inch gap was enough to allow it to continue responding. I either need some trick to shut it off, or it would be super helpful if the x1 team added some kind of system option to *** the button off, with an emergency option that resets this setting
when you unplug the console or something, just in case you can't get it on with voice or remote.

Xbox one disk read error all formats suddenly. Had no issues before. Xbox turned itself on by itself and when shut down the power light flashes slowly white? My drive makes a grinding noise. Have a niggle this is a software issue

When I turn my X1 off the power button flashes slowly for a few seconds.

Forgot to mention I have also turned the X1 into power saving mode instead of always being on

Xbox One Crashes To Home Screen NEED HELP!

Did you try a soft reset?... Press power button for 5-10 seconds until unit powers off. Unplug power cord to the X1, wait 30 seconds, plug back in, press power button on X1 to reboot. Will take a minute or so to load while on the green splash screen. If
this does not work, i would suggest a factory restore under settings. Good Luck

 

Hi there unfortuneatly that power button wont change, no way to turn off the functionality. My best advice put it out of reach of your 1 yr old.

 

Unfortunately that's easier said than done.

I'm not going to buy a taller entertainment center just to put my xbox higher.
