The beacons don't show up unless they're playing a game you have a beacon set for, though. So, if you don't set any beacons, no beacon notifications will show up - it's easy!

My only gripe was that you were limited to only setting 3 beacons...

@smiles, I think your getting a little obsessed by raspberries, I am a little worried when you get my message it won't live up to expectations.

@GG your beacons would should up on my screen regardless of if I have setup beacons or not, its that bit I don't want.

I don't have beacons setup at all, but I still get the notifications because other people have beacons setup for the games I play.

If I want to know who is playing a gaming I simply look at my friends list.

I like cherries chocolate strawberries bananas and blueberries even blackberries. And Geek if you didn't know like Davey mentioned, if one of your 360 friends has beacons for a game, a notification will pop up when they start the game (they've added to their
beacon) or when you start it it will say (3 friends or GT wants friends to play [name of game]). It will show this regardless if you have set up any beacons for yourself or not - unless you disable your notifications or set your online status to Busy.

Primary things I'd like back is voice messaging and change the Dash background. Beacons are useful for getting other friends attention like a-hmm I'm online this game >< play it. The limit of 3 beacons is good enough for me.

Beacons were optional for you to fill in, but I don't think you can turn them off if other other people set them up, hence the issue.

lol @smiles, I would need to check the raspberry list.

To start a party simple say Xbox Snap Party, or from the dashboard click snap > select party > select start > select invite.

I don't care if they do or don't add customised dashboards, its a nice to have but I am not on my dashboard long enough to care what it looks like, I don't go back to the 360, I did a few times but the more I did it the more I hated it, although my daughter
does still like it. ( i don't even bother with pins, why would I when I simple turn it on and say xbox goto (what I want)

I recommend you go through the kinect tutorial to learn the voice commands, well worth it IMO.

(still no release date for Minecraft, I though the hype would have started by now, the longer they leave it the more missed opportunity there will be)

Hi Davey I would like to re-iterate voice messages I'm probably first on your voice messages blacklist and going to send me a raspberry cherry for being a pro-VM pep. And change the Dashboard background. Black no pictures no themes = wow I have a fun background.
I'm sure it may come in a later update. I don't even know how to start a Party on Xbox 1 it's Dashboard is still a bit alien to me. I better learn quick Minecraft comes out in August which is only a few days away. I still spend way more time on 360 than 1.

Beacons were optional though, weren't they? As long as that's the case, I see no problem with it...
