X1 MISSING FUNCTIONALITY OF 360

Xbox One is missing the simplistic functionality of Xbox 360,

example: i have 20 friends who play Call of Duty that i want to invite to my Game. Never mind 20 how about 5 even, on 360 i could create a Game Invite message and edit the Recipients to include all 20 or all 5 of my friends at once to be invited, now on
Xbox One, i have to do each one individually, why?

i know it has been beaten to death, but 360 was famous for its ease of use and connectivity. Its shocking to see Xbox One lack so much in those areas. i believe the social features and connectivity of Xbox 360 was a major selling point over PS3 and now its
gone, it upsets me a lot and i wish it would be fixed because we had these features from Day 1 on Xbox 360

But MS already got my money for the 360... 3 times in fact. They're missing out on my $500 for X1 because I can't play any of my digital content on X1.

 

No System Video Player on Xbox One?

There is no reason why the same basic streaming functionality that the 360 had couldn't be included in the XBOX ONE launch. Because of that I wouldn't expect the functionality to be added anytime soon. This is a huge disappointment. I used that feature several
times a week on the 360. My favorite parts of the 360 do not exist on the ONE. Home media streaming, arcade, and free demos all are missing.

 

I remember the 360 being pretty bare bones on day one....a lot of great updates later it is pretty good now...but, if you say so.

 

@Burning, i'm pretty sure we could edit recipients of a Game invite message since Day 1 on 360 if i remember correctly, i also remember inviting friends on 360 being an easy process on 360 since Day 1 which is not the case on Xbox One, unless i start a party
with them every single time

you can do this but you have to go through a party, in the invite to party option you can multiple people and there is an option for game, party, or party and game, no idea how to access it without going through the party though.

 

Hi Davey I would like to re-iterate voice messages I'm probably first on your voice messages blacklist and going to send me a raspberry cherry for being a pro-VM pep. And change the Dashboard background. Black no pictures no themes = wow I have a fun background.
I'm sure it may come in a later update. I don't even know how to start a Party on Xbox 1 it's Dashboard is still a bit alien to me. I better learn quick Minecraft comes out in August which is only a few days away. I still spend way more time on 360 than 1.

To start a party simple say Xbox Snap Party, or from the dashboard click snap > select party > select start > select invite.

I don't care if they do or don't add customised dashboards, its a nice to have but I am not on my dashboard long enough to care what it looks like, I don't go back to the 360, I did a few times but the more I did it the more I hated it, although my daughter
does still like it. ( i don't even bother with pins, why would I when I simple turn it on and say xbox goto (what I want)

I recommend you go through the kinect tutorial to learn the voice commands, well worth it IMO.

(still no release date for Minecraft, I though the hype would have started by now, the longer they leave it the more missed opportunity there will be)

 

I've actually gone a day without using voice commands just to see how the Kinectless crowd has to deal with the UI's interface. If you're familiar with it, it's actually not that bad.

The Xbox One is missing some features from the Xbox 360 that I would still like to see: voice messages, beacons, home screen customization (themes), avatars and avatar store, bios and mottos, various apps, etc.

Everything they have added via updates on the One have been awesome so far, IMO, and as long as they keep it up I think we'll be just fine (in fact we already know they have already planned out updates all the way through October).

 

Beacons......Beacons.......I mean.....beacons, they were the worst addition, a good intention but the most annoying addition. The only hope you had with beacons is if you asked nicely people turned them off.

 

Beacons would have been fine if they kept them off the xbox360. They should have only shown up on peripheral devices like tablets and phones. If I am on the 360 playing, I can see what my friends are playing (and would often get a traditional notification
as well)... Why do I need a beacon showing up that "X" Friend wants to play "Y" game when I just got a pop up saying "X" Friend is playing "Y" game??

 

Beacons were optional though, weren't they? As long as that's the case, I see no problem with it...

 

Beacons were optional for you to fill in, but I don't think you can turn them off if other other people set them up, hence the issue.

 

I like beacons. It's a Clear way to tell you when a friend starts your favourite game, or when you start playing it they... get a notification. It's also another way to tell that you and them are online. I have beacons set for COD BO2, Minecraft, and Halo
4.

Davey, in real life to be 100% honest, I don't like to eat raspberry. Even if it's raspberry icecream/yoghurt I *wont* eat it. It just stays in the fridge and it's the last flavour that's left. I just have this mental thing about raspberry. But I'll accept
raspberries from you just because aren't you drawing up a list of pro- VM GT's? ;D
