X1 keeps turning off

If this was the reason then my xbox wouldn't have worked for the past month. I repeat, it stopped working right after the August update. Also, It ruined my power brick. It wouldn't start at all now. I'll get another power brick and see what happens. I'll
update later.

 

Misses Quinzel, i don't think it has anything to do with whether XBOX One is available in a country. I'm an MS employee and we got these from the company store. I'm not the only one who has such a console either. However, mine is the only one which is showing
this issue. I did get a pointer from a colleague that this might be happening due to the power adapter not being able to provide enough juice to the console when the game starts up. Remember that the console only uses a few CPU/GPU cores when in apps and the
menu but all the cores kick in when we start a game. I'm going to try a couple of alternate power adapters/bricks that i know work on their consoles and provide a further update here.

 

i used a different power brick and the console runs just fine now. guess i need a replacement power brick!

 

I am having the same issue. Changed power supply for a new one from MS, HDMI lead, different wall sockets and even a different TV

The unit was returned in August but has come back as though it has not been looked at. So far it has not been acknowledged as an issue

It's a Day One addition, I was on the preivew program and it seems that until the August update everything was fine. I have given MS my feedback after the repair but they have not responded

The solution is to get a new power supply unit.

It turned out that I did tried 2 different but faulty PSUs and when I used a brand new PSU it worked like charm.
