X1 is stuck on Moderate NAT

My Router is a Netgear WNR2000 and is connected to a ActionTech GT701D provided by TDS Telecom. I am currently experiencing Moderate type NAT. I had port forwarding set up for my 360 but when I got my PS3 I changed the ports.

Steps taken:

1. Disabled UPnP on both router and modem

Error Messages:Your Network is Behind a UPnP port restricted NAT Status code 0x40000000000

2. Deleted all rules from the PS3 settings.

3. Changed Nat Filtering setting in router to Open.

4. Restarted router and xbox several times

5. Checked for updated firmware...nothing

6. On my modem there is only an option for Port Forwarding not Port Triggering.

I need some help. I can't remember how I fixed my 360 all those years ago. One of my gaming buddies suggest the DDWRT but I'm not sure about that.

It's Impossible To Change It To Open.

 

Stuck behind Moderate NAT and I dont know what else to do

We recently got a faster internet router that enables up to almost 75 MB per second download. But the thing is, since we got it, I have been stuck behind a moderate UPnP port restricted NAT. I port forwarded the xbox one on the router, didn't change, I
rebooted the Modem, the Router and the Xbox One, didn't change, nothing I have been doing has had any effect and I am stuck behind this Moderate NAT and I am at my wits end on what to do.

The sad thing is, on our previous Wi-fi which was only about 20 to 25 MB per second download, I always had a open NAT. Now that we have this bigger download speed ext, i've been stuck behind this moderate NAT and I dont know how to fix it.

 

This might be an obvious question, but have you setup port forwarding from your router for the Xbox One?

 

No. I didn't know which ports to forward actually.

 

The Actiontec appears to be a gateway (modem + router). Thus, your Xbox is behind 2 routers (the Actiontec and the Netgear), which creates a classic double NAT problem. There are a few workarounds I have described in other posts here (search). One of those
options is to disable the router on the Actiontec by placing it in "bridge mode" as detailed here:

You would then do all port forwarding on the Netgear. Or, if the Netgear has a good, working UPnP implementation (not always the case with consumer level home routers), you should just be able to enable UPnP and let the Xbox use it to forward ports, rather
that doing so manually.

 

I've set up port forwarding on the modem and enabled UPnP on the router. Tested my connection and got an Open NAT on the console but still experiencing Moderate NAT on Ghosts.

 

Did you forward port 3075?

Port 3075 is needed for ghosts to get an open nat.

 

This is what I have forwarded. I have to set this up in both my modem and my router in order for this to work.

open Port 3075 udp and tcp, ghost uses that additional port, youll have nat open for ghost.

 

Looks like part of my issue was my router itself. It died Tuesday night. Picked up a new Netgear WNDR3400v3 . And have managed to get an OPEN Nat on Ghosts only opening 3 ports. UDP 88, TCP/UDP 3074 & 3075 with NAT turned on and UnUP turned off.
