X1 home page..... adult only....

So I went to my home page, saw "Explosive Wolfenstein preview"..... I watched. My word the game looks good.... I was surprised that there was no language editing........ f bombs, course language through out. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a fully grown mid
30 adult and am not offended by language, but for this to be on my a home page (which I'm guessing everyone else can see)..... shouldn't there be some sort of vocabulary editing (as much as I hate to suggest it)..?

what have Microsoft done to the home page, it is terrible? What does everybody else think?

 

I noticed this earlier today as well. I can only imagine that we are seeing these previews because we are logged in using our adult accounts. If we were logged in using children's accounts, we probably would have been shown an advertisement for Nutjitsu.

 

Yes, I think with a child's account it would probably not be viewable. Due to the rating.

 

I know for a fact that the advertising changes based on who's signed in because sometimes I'll turn on my Xbox One and see family-related advertising before I sign in, where it will then change to more adult-related content.

 

@ All of the above: I like that option.... good on MS. My little guy is just over a year old and wont need to hear this stuff on his console and GT when he is gaming....(10 years from now..... when consoles are obsolete...lol)

 

Advertising will change depending on the user signed in. This was the same on 360 as I noticed a friend of mine who is younger by just a few months but under 18 had much different adverts to me. You may also notice that when you buy a new game, the advert
for that game's DLC or Season Pass may appear on your home screen.
