X1 Free with gold is not free.

I have been excited for awhile waiting for x1 free with gold games they are supposed to be there but still trying to charge me. Also the dashboard app for 360's free with gold doesn't work right either makes you go to buy gold not to where the game is. made
it hard to download for nephew who doesn't have dark souls yet. Plz fix if problem or help me with the one issue.

Question about the free games for Gold members.

Hi,

Are the free games for Gold members playable after the paid membership expires? Or is a Gold membership required in order to keep playing the free games? I own both PS4/X1. I currently have a 12-month Gold membership while I only have the free limited one
month courtesy PSN membership that came with the PS4. Sony's used of the term "FREE GAMES" is a misnomer to me, because once you discontinue your paid PSN membership the free games that you have downloaded will not be playable anymore. Is this the case with
the free games acquired through XBox Live Gold? Thanks!

Is Gold required to use Twitch on X1? It's free on PS4.

 

For the 360, I suggest searching the store for Dark Souls and download it that way. It should say
free if you are an xbox live gold member.

As for the Xbox One, I'd keep checking
here for updates on when the June Games With Gold will be available. It just says June so as there is no specific date, it could be any point in June. There is also currently no news on whether or not the games will be available
as a free download for the whole month or half a month each like the 360. I am hoping there will be more details over the next couple of days.

 

yeah had to do that before I got to it just was making a note on not user friendly nephew could not figure out. but all good. X1 was hopefully you answered my question. makes sense thanks.

 

I am a xbox live gold member and the xbox 3260 game isn't even free for me.

 

Just search the store for "Dark Souls" MasterPlayerz43 and it should show up as free there.

 

i have done that and it even shows that it is free for gold members but when i goto buy it it says it is 19.99(regular price)

 

Are you sure you are logged in to the correct account. Might you be logged in to an alternate account?

 

i only have one account and the expires date on the xbox live gold is 9/4/14

 

I may not have a 360 yet but i have been able to get the 360 games that was free from the gold membership for the last month and half.

 

Try re-downloading your profile and try again.

 

I have several times and still the same thing.

 

I don't even see anything about free games for gold on the xbox one. The user interface isn't as good as the 360's

 

As mentioned above G Cor 71, Games With Gold on Xbox One isn't available just yet, that's why you don't see it on your console.
