    X1 controllers are barely held together


    The controller is built incredibly solid actually. Instead of what the 360 had with a clam shell style this was has an actual internal structure with a couple facade pieces. I haven't had any issues the two grip panels at all and I've dropped my controller
    a dozen times. Squeezing the grips really tightly is only time I notice they flex.

    If I was having issues with them coming off I fix them the way I keep loose battery covers on things secure and that is some high grade 3M double sided adhesive. I've had a 12" roll of the stuff for years so not sure how out it is to come by. If that didn't
    work a tiny dab of hot glue. In case it doesn't work both are easy to remove. I wouldn't try anything more permanent.

    My only issue with the controller is it vibrates like crazy, like 10x more than how the Xbox 360 wireless controller for my Xbox 360 slim console vibrates, especially when playing Forza 5 and Zoo Tycoon (driving buggy like a bad driver). It's probably because
    of the motor things inside the controller. It would be nice if M could come up with a Dashboard software setting which decreases the vibration.

    Im starting to notice the left analog stick wearing out also, where the middle of the stick hits the outer circle,its eating away at the stick and even leaves plastic dust like the N64 used to do ...

    They sure didnt put much effort into seeing how these controllers last in the long run

    That was a common thing with the Xbox 360 controllers too green thumb. The sticks wear and tear.

    To make my controllers more sturdy I got some cheap rubber controller skins-

    I haven't had an issues with my X1 controller yet (knocks on wood). They seem pretty durable to me.

    Had my controller replaced twice because of lose panels, once because the glue that was supposed to hold it all together began yo leak on a hot day. And I just got my fourth one in the mail20 minutes ago which has a loose left trigger, which is getting send
    back. These controllers have been horrible to me in build quality.

    Button wide, My controller has been ok up to now. Within the first month of getting the X1, the RT had a strange feeling to it but that passed and its been fine since.

    Doing good so far...Day One controller, second controller, Titanfall controller. They've survived me, my kids, and my kids' friends.

    I do agree that the 360 controllers were rock-solid, though. Best controller ever made, imo...

    When I 1st picked up an XB1 controller, I could feel the cheapness of it, but that has since translated to a feeling of comfort, which is quite odd... I've dropped my controller numerous times onto a hard tile floor and it still works rather well.

    I guess MS must have manufacture two different X1 controllers, one that falls apart and one that doesn't. I guess I got lucky because all three of mine are great, no problems here.

    I haven't had any issues yet, the plastic is thinner than the 360 controllers, and I can feel the plastic flex on the X1 controllers, but it hasn't bothered me yet. The dogs have pushed it off the couch onto the hardwood floors a few times, but the panels
    haven't come off yet.

    I'm more concerned about how the thumb sticks will wear in a few years... Or sooner.
