X1 Controller thumbsticks drifting up

I have two X1 controllers (the black day one and a Titanfall controller) and both of them are suffering from this drifting problem.

On the Titanfall version, it is the left thumbstick (movement) and on my day one controller it is the right thumbstick (aim).

I do not abuse my controllers and I have no idea as to what could have caused it and it is very frustrating. Once I started looking around I saw that it is a bigger problem that others are suffering through as well. Has anyone found a resolution for this issue?

DRIFTING! WOOHOO! But not the good kind :c

i got my X1 at launch, my day one controller is used daily and haven't had a problem with drifting yet, there was one time i start drifting, but i clicked the thumbstick down a few times and it has been fine since.

if you have the newest firmware on your controllers and it still does this, maybe an exchange would be in your best interest. either through a store or by calling and speaking to a rep at 1-800-4-my-xbox

I know I have the latest firmware on the controllers, I needed it for the headset that I use. I guess I will speak with a CSR at xbox support this evening.

That's referred to as stick drift. X1 controllers are terrible in regards to that problem.

I've lost 2 Launch, 1 Elite, 3 HK Dukes to it.

If you can't return it you could try and fix it.

thumbstick mechanisms are cheap, just a lot of effort to put in.

Or you could pay a company to fix it.
