    Just a simple question

    Is there any way to get the optimized versions of the games I had while I was on an Xbox One S without rebuying the game?

    I have the Xbox One edition of Grand Theft Auto 5 but now I don't seem to be able to get the optimized version, I got my Xbox Series S 3ish days ago.

    I'm AJ, an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.

    Unfortunately, when it comes to dual-generation games like GTA V, getting the Series X/S optimized version is not possible without purchasing it either separately or as part of a cross-gen bundle.

    Smart Delivery games on the other hand, automatically install the best version available for your console.

    • To see which of your games support Smart Delivery:

    - Go to My Games and Apps> Full Library> Owned Games
    - Select "Filter"
    - Select "Technical Features".
    - Select "Smart Delivery".
    - Any games on this screen will automatically install the Series X/S version of the game.

    An Xbox One S is still an Xbox One

    You didn'tt have them. only games that support smart delivery will give you the enhanced version. Many of them are separate purchases

    It needs to be Series, not One, regardless of the letter

    And only cross gen games have the ability to give you last gen versions

    Hello Xbox community, this is about Xbox series x/s versions of games!

    Because on my Xbox series x, it only shows 'Optimized for series x/s' but if a xbox series x version of a game is NOT 'optimized' how would i know if I'm playing a series x/s version of a game?
