'X' button not responding

    'X' button not responding


    Everything was working fine until I left my Xbox One X for about 20 minutes when I came back the 'x' button wasn't responding. It isn't jammed or stuck - does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with your controller not working as intended.

    Have you had a chance to
    update your controller    ? Perhaps this could help any functionality issues your controller might be having.

    Additionally you can try using the
    Wireless Controller Solution     article and see if some of these troubleshooting techniques work for you.

    If non of these work for you, you may have to
    Request an Xbox controller replacement    . Keep in mind that the options available to you will vary based on the warranty status of your accessory.

    I've noticed that the series X takes longer to respond to the controller. try holding the Home Button for maybe 10-15 seconds.
