X button completely unresponsive

Hey guys/gals,

Yesterday my xbox one was freaking out and yould not run properly. Once I finally got it running after multiple hard resets. I returned from work and my x button was completely unresponsive. I have power cycled my xbox multiple times hoping that would
help, I have updated my controller hoping that would work as well, but alas, it refuses. The x button is not sticky, it presses in as normal, but simply will not.

Any ideas would be great.

I have the same problem... The download now button is grayed out and the cancel button is grayed out as well. The remote is completely unresponsive with the exception of the B button which signs you out of Xbox Live.

Those have T8. But, I suggest just buying a new controller. Take them apart can damage it more.

 

I'm thinking you are referring to the X button on the controller here. If it isn't powering on you'd want to remove the batteries, replace them if you can and of course try the USB cord wired to see if it works. If these all fail then the controller would
need replacing. A controller has a 90 day warranty so if it's within the warranty timeframe you could create your own ticket or call a live Agent to do so.

Yes it is the X buttton on my controller. I am not having power issues. It is simply the X button that is unresponsive. My A, B, and Y button work, as does the rest of the controller. the problem is only the X button. I am out of warranty so im basically
