X box turns it self on randomly

I just noticed that my X box turns on by itself normally early morning time. I do not have a Kinect so it can't hear or see me walk into the room. Any clues as to why it may do this?

I would recommend making sure both the power supply, and the Xbox 360 console have adequate ventilation and airflow.

Do you have any pets? Is it possible that one of them may be sitting on the controller or nudging the power button on the console and accidentally turning it on?

Any possibility of an issue with the power source? I've experienced issues with bad surge protectors in the past.

sometimes the xbox does not feel hot when it overheats. this happened to me, although the time periods where a little bit longer. It would turn itself back on when it was cooled down.

To start out, please make sure your Xbox One is in an open or well-ventilated area. It needs room to breathe from all sides, other than the bottom, of course. If that's not helping, also make sure you're plugging your Xbox One directly into a wall outlet rather
than a power strip or surge protector. Keep us in the loop if either of these issues help out
