    Installed series X version of NBA 2K23 on a new Xbox X, however the install of the game is only running as current gen, not next gen as expected. Are Xbox X consoles not all Next Gen or is it an issue with the install?

    i was talking about the successor to the series x/s. these are not next gen consoles at this point they are current gen. i have a series x actually.

    Technically current gen is Series S/X, but that would be considered next gen. Series S/X games won't work on a One. The One would be current/last gen.

    Yes, I have installed new version of Xbox series X COD MW2 over the weekend and it looks like next gen performance. Also other games previously installed on my old Xbox one console run much faster (especially loading times) on the series X console. There is major gameplay differences with next gen and current gen versions of NBA 2K23, which is where I’m having the issue..?

    As long as you have the Xbox Series X|S version of the game you should have a next-gen performance for the game.

    The Xbox Series X is a next-gen console. The issue can be with the game or the console, or we just need to perform troubleshooting steps.

    I would like to clarify, what is the exact issue that you're experiencing with the game? Also, have you tried other Xbox Series X|S game versions to compare the games?
