X Box Series X availability

I have been trying to purchase an X Box Series X since they came out in 2020. No luck - No pre Pay options for this console and retailers in my area say they may not be any sufficient supplies of this console till mid. 2022. At this point I am ready to give up on getting one. I refuse to get ripped off by scalpers - Microsoft shouldnt have released a product that they clearly had no way of providing adequate supplies.
