    X box scorpio turning off


    Hallo,

    I am having a permanent cut off problem with my x box one x console. The console turned off without any forewarning whilst playing assassins creed last night. Every time i turn the console back on it gets to the green x box one screen and then always turns
    off again without fail. I have unplugged the console from both the wall socket and the power input at the back on numerous occasions but it still continues to do this. There is nothing amiss with the power cable as the console keeps powering when switched
    on but always turns off of its own accord. Have you any suggestions to fix this or shall i return the console to yourselves for an exchange. Where do i post the console to for exchange?

    you could try a console reset either via settings>system>console info>reset console

    or this way:

    1. power down by holding power button on front of xbox for 10 seconds

    2. unplug from wall socket for 30 seconds

    3. reconect power

    4. press and hold both bind and eject buttons and then press the power button, keeping bind and eject pressed

    5. wait for a second power chime, can take around 15 seconds

    6. select reset console from troubleshoot menu

    Both ways give you the option to keep games and apps or completely wipe and reset. I'd keep games and apps for first try

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that your console is turning off mid-game.

    Considering how you have already sent up your console for a repair, there is a chance that the environment in which you have it in could be source of your console shutting off.

    This is happening to me as well. Already exchanged my Xbox One X with another one (also Project Scorpio Edition). Both exhibit same behavior. Controller turns on the console then desyncs. I have to turn it off and on again for it to resync.

    This only happens when console is completely off.
