    X Box One X - what a crock


    Where do I start with this?

    I've had almost two months of utter frustration since upgrading from the Xbox One S to the X. I am experiencing so many issues that I am beginning to suspect I have received a dud.

    First: Blu-Ray playback. This happens with normal Blu-Rays and 4K UHD disks. The movie will be playing nicely, when suddenly (and randomly) the audio will stop, but the video will carry on, after about ten to fifteen seconds the video will halt and the allow
    the audio to "catch up". Really annoying if immersed in a movie.

    Second: One Guide. I am routing my Sky box through the Xbox. However, again seemingly randomly, either when switching the Xbox on, or when switching from another app, the TV signal stops and starts. This affects the entire Xbox display until you either switch
    off the Xbox or Quit one guide. I seem to have found a kind of solution to this in switching the display settings on the Xbox to 60hz. Obviously being a PAL display, this shouldn't work, and it does cause some flickering issues when watching fast moving TV..
    So not really an ideal solution.

    Third: Other Video Apps (Netflix; YouTube; Amazon Prime etc.). From time to time, when starting one of these apps, I will find a group of flashing dots on screen, these can usually be removed by quitting the app and then re-starting it, but sometimes it
    takes a complete re-boot to get rid of them.

    Any ideas what is going on? I spent a fair bit of money on a day one edition of the Xbox One X, and am bitterly disappointed with what I am having put up with.

    If you're on your "Home" X Box One and Live/Internet goes down, it's as easy as "X Box...settings...network...go offline. Now if your home X Box isn't in your home...well, what did you expect?

    Can I just say that these details are for X Box One and they are not the same for X Box 360. There are no options for technical support on X Box 360.

    I have a 65 inch, 4K television.

    Will I see a difference in graphics with the new X Box on my 4K?
    Xbox Series X will release Holiday 2020, given Xbox's track record of releasing new consoles, they've usually been around November.

    It will have Blu-Ray.

    With the Xbox One X, it uses checkerboarding to get 4K resolution, though it's not true 4K, it's what allows the One X to get to 4K,

    With the Xbox Series X, it will use true native 4K, you may see that the Series X will look a little better at 4K than the One X at 4K.
