x box one s won't display

Same for me since the day before yesterday. Now i can only switch it to 480p. Try these steps and tell me what you get?

STEP 1: Turn of your xbox console

STEP 2: After it completely shuts down unplug it from the power cable

STEP 3: After 2 to 5 mins, plug it back and do the following

STEP 4: Hold the xbox button and the eject button together. Dont let go for 10 to 15s you should here a beep then let go

STEP 5: It should bring you to the 600*480 screen..Go to all settings, display and out put, display and turn the resolution to 720p or 1080p.

Mine is stuck at 480, when i up the res to 720p and 1080p it goes blank

Did you ever get this figured out? My One S worked perfectly but my X won't control my cable box.

That's incorrect.

RDR 2 runs at 864P internally on both original Xbox One and One S. Original Xbox One can upscale this image to 1080P, while the One S can upscale to 4K.

Only the One X runs the game natively in full 4K, with a dynamic scaler in action.

It's important to stress that there is a big difference between upscaling, and running a game natively.

I would say running this game on an original console or One S on a 1080P display won't be too bad, but would look quite soft - or washed out on 4K display, unless you're playing on the One X.

Unlike the base PS4 Pro and the PS4 Pro, HDR on the Xbox One X and One S requires a 4K display to be enabled on the console, it won't work on a 1080P display, be that a TV or Monitor.

This is because on release the PS4 hardware had the necessary built in graphics processing power to run game in High Dynamic Range, while the original Xbox One did not.
