X box one s graphics are pixelated

I recently bought a secondhand x box one s digital that is 18months old

I have noticed that on most games the graphics are pixelated especially Cold War and Modern warfare.

I have tried all the display settings, different hdmi cables, tried it on my monitor instead of the tv, completed a hard reset and it’s still not for any better.

Any suggestions, when I try my other x box one x it’s perfect and have no issues so I know it’s not the tv or monitor.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated or is it worth sending off to Microsoft to have a look at?

The original poster bought an Xbox One S, not a Series S and was comparing it to an Xbox One X, not a Series X.

Misread your question entirely and thought you were asking about the series s rather than the one s, apologies, but the resultant answer would be the same I think.

It is hard to say without seeing it first hand.

9 times out of 10 I would suggest this issue would be resolved by trying a different HDMI cable or adjusting the settings but as you have tried this then this would not be helpful.

If it is something that is concerning you a lot and something that you are almost certain is not performing as it should I would recommend sending to Microsoft or, if it is a repair company that is trusted, send to some other specialist for their opinion.

When you say "pixelated" how pixelated are we talking? I mean the One S is quite a slow machine these days, the One X is much much more powerful and it will be able to run the games at a higher resolution.

That’s a good point it could be the hdmi port in the console. It was my sisters before I had it and she hardly used it at all, a lot of my friends are using a one s and don’t have this problem I have tried it on my monitor which is what i use my one x on and it’s still the same. To give you an idea what it’s like on war zone/ Cold War on the battle pass page all the battle pass items are very pixelated and also all the writing is.

They have a Xbox One S,not a Series S.
