    my xbox one controller pairs wirelessly when 1 foot away from console but unpairs when 2 foot away . batteries changed and brand new. I have tried a console reset and checked if latest updates applied to controller. Not sure what to try next ?? Thanks

    Try a hard reboot.. Hold the power button for 30sec once shut off pull power for 30 seconds.

    i just had the same (or very similar) issue with an series x/s controller, what fixed it for me was to forget the controller from my paired bluetooth devices and re-pair it.

    I have struggled with the same issue using the standard Xbox one X controller. I've tried several things but to my knowledge once you pair the controller back to the Xbox, you will need to unpair it and pair it back up to your PC each time you have
    done so
    I dont have an xbox nearby. I dont understand if the thing has a saved pairing when it was purchased out of the box or reset. It should be able to connect automatically to windows. Hope MSFT releases a fix or there is a solution I havent explored.

    The issue is with two xbox one Not S not X controllers. These controllers were purchased before Christmas to replace two controllers that i had the same issue with. I can not speak nor hear anyone thru these. It started intermittently and now completely
    gone within a few months after spending over one hundred dollars. These are the third pair I've had to purchase and I have two. Xbox's at the moment that I can't play with friends due to the lack of communication.
