It only hapens while playing games online so i assume its x box live problem as he can watch you tube with no issues dont know where to go now

Thanks but i have done all that full shut down and reset console and internet reset changed ethernet cable and tested it but no joy it has just started over the past month or so console 6 months old so dont know if faulty as my other console is fine and
they are on seperate accounts

hi what you can do about your disconnection problem is easier than what others think. i had a same problem so what i did was i unplugged my xbox for 5 minutes then i plugged it back in . after that my wifi started working again. also try it like this
too,turn on your xbox then unplug it . It will force a master reset but you won't lose anything it reset the motherboard inside the console to find and detect your wifi connection. i hope this helps you . have a great day happy gaming.

Ok couple of things to ensure

Enough ventilation on xbox

Xbox plugged in main socket not multi plug unit

Please check server issue in your region via Google if status are ok then try the following steps

Hard reset xbox by holding down power button then unplug for few minutes also restart internet wait for internet to come on before switching on xbox

Carry out a internet speed test loads of app available for this

Go setting, Network, test nat should be open

If it still disconnect please xbox customer service or take it back to where you brought the xbox from
