X-box one controller not working/not power on and heating up the direction arrows

Hello Guys,

I bought my X-Box One S in December, 2017, and the console has a controller that came together.

Since the last Saturday (29th, September) my controller not working, and when I plug in USB cable the controller and it heating up on the left, under the direction arrows.

I tried follow the all steps in Microsoft Help, but I didn't succeed.

I tried test other controller, and it worked.

I tried update the controller but X-Box not recognize, I think that is because it don't working/not power on.

How I fix this problem?

Controller issues

My controller seems to be having issues every other day with the headset. I use a Turtle Beach PX-5 with a Battle Beaver Customs wireless adapter in my controller. Sometimes when I power on the X-Box one the controller will not work. Or it may work and
the head set will not work. I can hear the voices of other players through my headset, but cannot talk to them. The only way to fix this is to reset the X-box one by holding power button down. Really upsetting when trying to join fellow gamers.

It has been working fine, but seems like its reliability is getting worse with updates. I have not completed a controller update as of yet, but just downloaded the instructions to complete it.

On another note, if I do not use the X-Box one for two or three days the led on the power supply is orange. I have to hold down the power button on the Xbox one to reset the unit for it to recognize the controller and for it to work right.

On other times when I turn the X-box one on there is an annoying sound that plays through the speakers. Not quit static, but almost. Sometimes it stops on its own and sometimes I have to reset the system.

 

Since you said it heats up on the left side I would suggest you stop using that controller as it may not be safe anymore - it has malfunctioned and could cause a fire or hurt you.

Please buy a new controller or consider a warranty repair if you are in the EU where the warranty is 1 year. (90 days in USA/Canada)

So yea, that's not supposed to be happening with any controller.

If the controller that is experiencing this through is the one that came with the console, I'd suggest trying to get a repair or exchange through our site at

Device Support. You might be in warranty, and be able to get the controller replaced by Microsoft.

You can also contact support as stated in the previous post and ask for them to create the repair order as well.

Give that information a look through and let us know if that helps the issue
