    X Box One Controller is muted


    My Daughters controller has suddenly muted, with the muted icon appearing top right corner of the screen . She is unable to use her headset with this . Ive tried all the fixes but nothing is working. If she uses her spare controller there is no problem.
    The controller in question is only 7 months old. Please help

    Possible to Pair XBOne wireless controller to windows 10 via bluetooth?

    The X Box One controller is Wi-Fi Direct and I don't believe it has a Bluetooth chip inside. On a side note, there is a Bluetooth capable chip inside the X Box One.

    Hey Rumble,

    Sorry to hear about the controller, let's see what we can do here. If you haven't already, try

    Updating your controller     by doing the following:

    1. Sign in to Xbox Live on your Xbox One console and install the latest system update if prompted to do so.
    2. If you have a stereo headset adapter, plug it into the bottom of your controller so it can also get updates.
    3. If you're using a stereo headset adapter, plug in a headset (a headset must be plugged in so the adapter will turn on).
    4. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    5. Select System > Kinect & devices >
      Devices & accessories      , and then select the controller you want to update.
    6. Select Device info, select the Firmware version box, and then select
      Continue.
    7. When the update is complete, you can update additional controllers. If they can only be updated via USB, see

      Update via USB      . Otherwise, select the Update another button on the screen after the first update is complete, and then follow the steps.

    The controller is only 7 months old ! Would it be replaced free of charge under warranty ? Thanks

    X Box One Controller is muted

    Our xbox one controllers stopped working with the stereo headset (just the mic) all simultaneously.

    We tried plugging it into the 3.5 mm jack. None of my 3 controllers worked after having worked fine for months. All updated to latest firmware.

    I tested the headset on my iphone and the mic was fine there- I could record voice memos with no problems

    went to GameStop and spent $50 for the stereo headset adapter, and that allowed the mic to work again for another 30 days.



    Now the mic is stuck on mute again, the headset adapter’s slashmark icon stays lit
