X-Box One controller blinking on PC

I have an X-Box One controller I use for PC gaming, using Windows 10. I have always used it wired, as it said on the box that the controller should be wired for use on PC. After several years of service, there appears to be a problem with the cable, as it kept losing connection when I moved too much. So I figured, I'll just get a new cable.

With the new cable, though, the controller doesn't get past blinking, and it doesn't work. I know the controller is still fine, because with the old cable I can still get it to sync up, it just isn't stable enough to be able to actually play. What can I do to get it to work with the new cable? I do not have an X-Box One I can use to sync up or anything.

    :)

X-Box One controller blinking on PC

If it works with the old cable, albeit poorly, and doesn't work at all with the new cable, then, if it was me, I'd be sending the new cable back from whence it came and having them send a new one out as it sounds faulty.

Xbox Series X Sync button/synced controller stopped. Sync button must work as I am able to get to BIOS. Sync button wont blink.

Thanks for the reply. Interesting, I did not know that it was "wirelessly" connected while connected to a USB C Data Cord. As soon as I unplug, it stays disconnected (in sync mode the controller also keeps blinking then turns off). If this is right I don't know why I also can't sync any of my other Xbox controllers to the series X unless connected with a cord (works on an One X controller also, stops when unplugged). I don't know why the sync button (blinking) stopped operating all together.

I replaced my batteries and tried to pull and place back in earlier with no luck. I also updated the controller as I set up as new.

The interesting thing is I am able to use the series X controller perfectly on PC wirelessly with windows 10/Xbox PC adapter. I have no problems on PC wireless.

HELP!!!!! - Live will connect to Network but not Internet

Forget the PC exists. We have cable internet. The cable runs directly to the modum. The modum has ONE Ethernet cable running to ONLY the x box. The "link" light is blinking Orange constantly while the power, DS(downstream), US(upstream), and online lights
are all solid green. The Cisco website says that the link light blinks if data is being transferred, but again, I can only connect to the network and not the internet. Nothing able the setup has changed since I first hooked it up over four months ago. It just
    stopped working one day.
