    No XBox Live connect

    This is one of those frustrating scenarios that I found myself just way too much with my X Box 360. It has gotten a lot better with the X Box One but I still have some issues. I always used to wonder if it was some of my cables or my internet connection but I ended up trying it everywhere and coming to the unfortunate conclusion.

    error status report as follows

    W: Hardware setup

    X: Connection End - Means connection to X-box live servers has failed

    Y: Internet setup type 00A8 - E840 U.S.A. Version Wireless Receiver for X-Box 360 Console. Others would be Ethernet cable or out of U.S.A. model of receiver.

    Z: X-Box Policy Offenses. 0000 - 0000 = No X-box offenses. Any other = Ban or Suspension

    So are you saying you plugged your cable box into the HDMI passthrough on the One X?

    If the cable box is defaulting to a lower resolution when connected into the Xbox One X's HDMI passthrough, you should be able to adjust the display output in the cable box's settings menu.
