X Box live updating issues

My boys x box 360 cannot connect to x box live as it needs updating. So, we have followed the instructions for downloading, but get to a point where the screen goes grey and freezes. No error codes, just grey. We have unplugged, re plugged, tried a few times
but nothing. I have looked on the forum and community boards, but I am no expert and have drawn a blank as to what to do, can anyone help or advise? Thanks in anticipation

Update Payment Options Error

Every time I try to get on X-Box Live it trys to make me update my payment options.When finished updating it it come up with a error. Status Code 8C320008

 

X-Box Live

Hi All,

I have an X-box one and my son currently has an X-box 360. The Live subscription is currently in his name and we both make use of it. We are thinking of getting him his own X-Box one for Xmas and were wondering if this will affect the way we use Live?

Also, are we likely to get any issues having 2 X-Box ones on our home Network

Have you tried clearing your cache
support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache & then trying to update again?

 

Thanks. When we start up the console it takes us through a couple of screens to download the update but nothing else. We cannot get back to the main screen to clear the cache as if it ever takes us back to that screen it then freezes completely

 

Try starting your console when not connected to the internet,clearing the cache & then reconnecting.
