X-Box Gamepass on PC self-installing games from my previously played and/or Play Later list

Thanks for reaching out to the Xbox forums! I am sorry to hear that you are struggling with the Xbox App downloading games when it shouldn’t.

I’m on the same app version as you and I tried to recreate your issue and could not. I deleted a few games from my computer via the Xbox app, downloaded a new game and downloaded an update from a game I currently have, and nothing else began downloading that shouldn’t have.

My suggestion to you is to repair and/or reset the app. You can do so by following the steps below:

1. Select Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
   
2. Search for and select the app you want to fix.
   
3. Select the Advanced options link under the name of the app (some apps don't have this option). On the page that opens, select Repair if it's available. If it isn't available or doesn't fix the problem, select Reset.
   

You could also try reinstalling the Gaming Services package on your Windows 10 device:

1. Right-click the Start button in the lower-left corner of the main screen, and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
   
2. In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press Enter:
   

Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers

A colleague of mine who was experiencing this same problem said that the issue was fixed for him when he went into the drive where all of the games were downloaded to and deleted the game files for the uninstalled games.

If this happens again, use the Feedback option in the Xbox app (click your profile and then Feedback) to create a report. Those reports go directly to our developers who look at them daily and track issues.

it is part of gamepass ultimate for console, it is getting launched to the gamepass pc side of things later this year as it was delayed.

I bought the x box one and give to my brother the x box 360 the console stay in the house. so I can play later future x box 360 games.

Being new to the X-Box console I accidentally redeemed an X-box game code onto my Microsoft PC account.

Firstly I am surprised there was no warning to at least notify me that the game would be incompatible.

Secondly I now have a useless X-Box console game sitting on my Microsoft account.

There must be some way to transfer this game from my PC account to my X-box account.

Can anyone on this forum or at Microsoft please advise if it is possible for the game to be transferred or the redemption code reset so I can claim it onto my X-box account?

Hello redeemed code can not be resolved. Buying codes are disposable and are assigned to one account. It is similar to a license plate, for example, with only one car.

If you bought a game that's for Xbox Play Anywhere, you can play this game on both the console and the PC.

And your Microsoft account with which you are logged in to your PC (if it is the same as the console) and the game you have saved on that game. So just install this game in your console, you will find this game in Ready to install.

I preordered starfield- then to play early I installed it from gamepass and have been playing for a week. Now I received the disk from my preorder- how to I get the xbox series x to install the game from the dvd. Disk is in the reader but xbox just ignoring it
