X-Box Game Pass for PC Download Error

Hi All,

Need help on this one......

Trying to download some games for PC from the store. I currently have the X-Box game pass for PC and every game I try to install gives the same error code,

0x80070005. After doing some searching for the code information, all I have been able to find is the following:

Error 0x80070005 occurs when you launch a game or app on Xbox One

You see the following error code when you try to launch a game or app on your Xbox One console:

0x80070005

This means that there might be a problem with the Xbox Live service, or that there’s an issue with the item you’re trying to launch.

Clearly I am not on an X-Box and I am trying to download, not "Launch" the app.

This has happened after several attempts, on various days and times. I also use other gaming platforms and have no issues with them.

With that said, I have a laptop that downloaded just fine, and my PC actually has better internals than my laptop, so not sure what is going on.

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

Ye i would like to know if game pass on x box will work on pc to ??🤔

Download the Free thing if you have the season pass in X-Box live Marketplace. It will then unlock it in the game.

I finally figured this out!

Whenever I tried to sign in to X-Box Games Pass for PC, I got a white screen and then back to the main screen. I was never able to sign in.

I have multiple external harddrives connected to my PC. One was corrupt. Once I formatted the corrupt drive, I was suddenly able to login (it actually automatically logged me in). For some reason, X-Box Game Pass for PC must have been getting confused by the external harddrive. It was the harddrive where I used to keep my games.

Having the same problem on MW with the missing data packs after purchasing new X box 1 X and re-downloading all games. Getting a error message of "purchase failed error code PILUM" when trying to download packs. Also using manage game menu, and re-downloading packs, still no luck and same error code saying missing.
