    i have owned my xbox since june last year, and whilst playing today it crashed and i hard to do a hard reboot. it has not come on since.

    one of two things happens

    1 - the start up noise will sound, the light will come on and then it will look like it is starting but after a few seconds turns off.

    2 - the start up noise will sound, the light will come on and it will just sit there not doing anything.

    I have tried

    A - a different power cable

    B - a different outlet

    C - a different HDMI cable

    D - a hard/factory reset

    E - shouting at it

    None of the above have worked.

    when i checked with the warranty checker on this site, it says it is out of warranty. i'm not sure how that can be the case as i only bought it in june?

    any other advice i can try to see if it will work otherwise it is a £400 paperweight

    As the others mentioned, it seems like it might be time to get a new console. If you have done all the troubleshooting you said you have and the warranty is up, it seems like there's not too much can be done. You can try finding tutorials about no the
    same issue and try to fix it. Im sorry and hope the best in your gaming endeavors.✌

    it was new, the box was correctly sealed etc, it's possible.

    Thats what im doing. I explained the situation to amazon and they are refunding me for it for me so i can replace it.

    i purchased it new from a retailer through amazon. i have registered it which is why i found out that it was apparently out of warranty.

    Hi there,

    Unfortunately there isn't much left to do with all of the troubleshooting you have already tried. However, manufacturer warranty is 1 year and if you bought it brand new off the shelf then it should be in warranty. Where did you buy the Xbox One?
