X Box controller connection issues.

I have been using an X Box one S controller to play certain games like Forza and Dead by Daylight. I'm starting to run into issues where my controller randomly stops working. I know the controller and chord are not the problem as I have tried using different ones without success. The controller says its connected and my PC says it is too however none of my inputs do anything. I know the remote is not connected to anything else, i know the remote and chord are not the issue. I've tried restarting the game, unplugging my remote and everything obvious. The only fix I've found is restarting my PC. Another thing to note is that I REFUSE to spend $40 plus shipping on an adapter.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently facing issues with your controller. But don't worry, please follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned below to fix the issue.

Load up device manager on you computer and click on the view menu then click show hidden devices, then look through all of the device choices and see if it is listed then, if so then remove that device and restart your computer and see if its detected again.

Also please check if you have the latest version of Windows 10 and if there are updates.

I have got a tip that makes a wired controller uses a android device to connect to a PC.

But I want to connect a wired controller to my X Box series X,using somithing simular.

Or another bluetooth adapter.....

Please make sure user profile is on HDD or main storage source - please take out additional controllers (I have seen errors in some case while doing that) - Make sure all files such as Dlc is on same source - but to me sounds like may be 2nd controller issue
- Also may be advisable to sign out any user profile not in use in the game

Also goto your x-box dashboard and do X-Box live connection test to make sure you are fully connected

I'm triying to register in that web, but does not reconize the serial number. Is mandatory to connect the controller to an X-box before regiter it?

sorry i forgot to answer your question i'm italian i'm using the translator i hope you can understand me the problem is that the controller does not connect to the x box series x the console connects correctly to the tv
