    X-BOX ARE THEY THE SAME?


    I have a friend who is a native South American, in Bogota Colombia- I wanted to surprise him with an x box for Christams. Colombia is listed as being able to play and support in Colombia- Only speaks/writes/reads/
    Spanish.

    My question is if I buy the x box here in the United States is it going to be the same x-box that they sell in South America- Does the x box have language selection? And how about the games? The Microsoft
    Game Pass?

    X-BOX ARE THEY THE SAME?

    All xbox consoles are the same so a box bought in the U.S. will work in Columbia.The only thing your friend would need is the correct power cord for their country.

    The only exception is consoles made for use in China.

    Physical games are region free but digital content tends to be region locked so any digital content would need to be bought by your friend once they have the console.

    Blu-Rays & DVD's are region locked though so the console will only play Blu-Ray/DVD discs from the U.S. region (not sure what region Columbia is)

    There are multiple language options on the console so that wont be an issue & things like game pass/gold/gamepass ultimate would need to be bought by your friend when thay have the console as they are all region locked.

    Only other issue may be the warranty.While it would still be valid it might be a hassle getting the console repaired if something did go wrong with it.

    Can I just say that these details are for X Box One and they are not the same for X Box 360. There are no options for technical support on X Box 360.

    I believe that you own the game on your own account right? If so, you will need to home share your game with your son otherwise he won't be able to play it from his own account. You will have to sign into his Xbox with your account, home share it, then he can sign in with his account to benefit from the game. You can do so by following the steps mentioned here => Designate a home Xbox | Xbox Support. Oh and yes, when you home share, you share all your games and subscriptions but not the DLC though.
