X Box App + games + gaming service broken

So I am very frustrated with this issue and I tried literally anything I could find anywhere on the web. Explaining the issue and what I already tried will take a while so please bear with me.. you are my only hope.

Problem:

The X Box App won't work on my PC. Sometimes (randomly) it does start and lets me play some of the games (I am actively paying for with my subscription btw) but most of the time it does not. Most times the app won't start or freeze while open. If it opens, games will likely not start or install (currently I can't even cancel an installation.. it will simply just restart with no download speed at all). If they do, they may crash right away. Once in a blue moon I am able to play the games normally but even then usually only right after restarts of my PC.

When the app opens and I try to start games it will usually direct me to the Gaming Service app where I can do nothing but update/install the app which almost never works. In the library it will usually say: "something happened on our end". Sometimes downloads will just show error messages (000001 and the other one) linking me to troubleshoot pages that don't help.

It seems to work more reliably (still less than 30% of the time) when I de-install Microsoft Store. re-installing the X Box app also work only occasionally. After clearing the registry it's fine... any other time it's a gamble with very bad odds.

What I already tried:

- updating Windows and all drivers

- deleting the x box app, windows store, and gaming service via powershell and reinstalling

- clearing gaming service from the registry

- clear cache

- running the app without Microsoft Store, gaming service, or both.

I know I haven't tried re-installing Windows, yet. But I really want to avoid that for obvious reasons and I cannot believe that this is a valid solution.

I am open for any solutions and will try ANYTHING!

for inssue this severe I am surprised barely anyone talks about it, and the support appears to have surprised pikachu face :eek:

realizing that this issue exists.

"hey i am a large coprporation I will deny everything and offer you obsolte 'fixes' from a year ago when last time this happened instead of just acknowedging that you screwed up. Oh no cannot say that, shareholders would be mad, stock prices areat stake and I am gonna lose my job."

This issue has been absolutely plaguing for months and i have been seeing "xbox game services' store rating dropping from 4.2 to 1.7. Reciews being hideen and ironically posted a 5 star review talking about this issue just to get it shown up as “most helpful”.

I'll suggest you run a scan to check for problems and repair them.

Press Windows + R, type cmd, and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to run Command Prompt as administrator. Next type sfc /scannow in Command Prompt window, and press Enter to start to scan and repair corrupt system files in Windows 10.

Try this: Go to Windows settings >> Apps >> Xbox >> Advanced >> Repair & Reset.

After doing that, Perform the same steps for Gaming Services and Microsoft Store as well.

this seems to work for a while. I tried it yesterday and it worked perfectly the whole day. Today, however, it keeps breaking to a point where I cannot open the x-Box App anymore. For now I will follow these steps each day to make it work but I agree with the poster above. This problem does not seem to be that rare anymore and has been around for a long time now. Very disappointing.
