    X Box 1x 'Join Friends' tab greyed out so cant join friends


    Everytime I try to join a friends game from the xbox menu the option is gray and wont let me click it or anything I can join party but not game, this has only just started happening and I have had the xbox for 4 months. The network is fine and the NAT
    status says open and the check multiplayer shows no issues. The privacy settings are also completely allowed and enabled I have also power cycled but I am still having this problem and don't know how to proceed. They can invite me but this is annoying to have
    to ask someone to invite me to game every time I want to play with them. Is there anything else I can try?

    Can't join friends party group chat

    Yes it is through the friends list, the join option comes up grey instead of white so cant even click it to join, I can join the game their in but not the chat.

    if they have their privacy set so that only friends can join (and they haven't added you to their friends then that would grey out those options.

    "Join Party" option always greyed out

    Just got my xbox one and updated the console. I've added a few friends to date but when I see them playing a game the join game and join party is always greyed out!?

    Why is that so? I can never ever join a random guys or friends game cause it's always greyed out. This was never so difficult on the 360!

    Hi,
    Thanks for replying. I have made sure my box account is not a part of any family and have gone through the privacy settings as well. I was able to join my friends before but it stopped working suddenly the other day. Now I cant join any of my friends worlds and they cant join any of mine.

    I am also having this problem and no it's not because my friends are in a game they are waiting at the menu my other friends can join it's just me the option is greyed out
