Hiya! I've had this issue before. What worked for me was deleting the profile off of the Xbox, then adding the profile back and signing in.

Many thanks for all your help and advice really appreciated. We tried all the options you gave but unfortunately on this occasion we had to do a factory re-boot … which was a lot easier and quicker than we thought.

Thankfully this resolved the problem and I have a happy son!

I would also try to remove the profile and redownload it onto the console. But just wondering, have you already verified his account through the email address that was used when he signed up? Possibly his account still needs to be verified as well, so
I'd check that too. I'd check his Microsoft account and see if there are any notifications or messages there for anything that might need attention as well. Good luck!
