X Box 1 Business Strategy WHAT WENT WRONG

Been keeping up with total sales of X box 1 vs ps4 since they launched in November of last year. I never would of thought the ps4 would double the amount of users in comparison to X box 1. The 360 owned the ps3 not because it was a better system, but because
it had better games, better live competition, better game-play, and of course and way better controller. I bought the x box 1 last week and I have never been so disappointing with buying a console system since Sega Saturn; I am starting to realize why the
ps4 is dominating.

FIRST The game selection is awful and the games available haven't lived up to any expectations. I am a classic chrono trigger/diablo/Jedi knights of the old republic/fable RPG, and a counter strike/Halo/Doom/Modern Warfare FPS, die hard fan and there
isn't a single game that satisfies my boyhood desires. Titanfall, WOW, what were you thinking with putting grunts/specters in online game play. Any good fps players focuses on the map more than what's in front him. Those grunts/specters create red dots making
the H.U.D useless to find an actual human player. BTW the TItans are useless bullet magnets for the noobs. FiFa 14 worst FiFA ever since FIFA 10. Call of duty same stuff different day would rather play the original modern warfare. Bought Ryse because I wanted
6 hours of actual fun and GUESS WHAT the upgrade online won't down load. Can only play the game single player offline. Right now the only game I want to play is Clash of Clans on my I phone.

THIRD - X Box tried to create an all around 1 and done system that suits everybody. I can't believe that was your strategy to beat out the ps4. Why did the 360 beat the ps3 because it was cheaper, more simplistic and focused on primary essential aspects;
game-play, live, and quality games. While Sony, being idiots, focused on how to have a blu ray player with their ps3 gaming system. DUMB. Microsoft has made the exact same mistake with the X box 1. DUMB. The X box fan base were/are gamer's we don't care
about having a kinect. Should have spent all the R&D dollars on system technical improvements instead of implementing the kinect. I JUST WANT TO PLAY AN GREAT FPS SHOOTER AND A GREAT RPG without any complications and so does your fan base. Whatever executive
creating your Business strategy please fire him cause he has cost Microsoft billions of current and future revenue. The original X box and 360 created your value with great games, game-play, and live competition WHY DID YOU STRAY AWAY FROM YOUR CORE COMPETENCIES.
You push so hard to give your fan base additional value that you lost your original. We didn't need additional value what was established was more than enough. I am sure someone at Microsoft can conduct market research.

At least we still got the awesome controllers way to not screw that up.

Because I am a loyal customer and I love Halo I will give the x box 1 a chance. If halo 5 sucks I will switch to the ps4 and play on those god awful controllers.

X Box live Gold code doesn't work

Hey! So I bought an X Box and I became an 1 month X Box live Gold code but everytime I want to redeem the code,it says that something went wrong.I activated a code for 2 days about 1 month ago and it worked.Please help me.

 

Xbox Live Redemption went to wrong account

I have (2) Microsoft accounts. (1) for my surface pro (2) for x box one. I purchased live for my xbox1 account and it went to the wrong email and username that I use for my surface pro. Is there anyway to transfer this? It was a 3 month subscription.

Trust.

Sure MS did a lot of "360" degree turn arounds after their DRM/Always on/etc debacles. But by then it was far too late for MS to keep some next-gen gamers. And when Sony announced at 2013 E3. "Here is how you share PlayStation games.." - That was enough
to completely close the door for a good many Xbox fans.

But MS is trying to tempt them back with Kinectless/Master Chief Collection. So we'll see how that goes and also this "Time Slice" thing and whether or not the X1 has the POWER to game, and Skype at the time, and/or whether or not digital copy only games
makes another push, or MS decides to do yet another 360 turn on DRM etc.

So there is still a lot of unanswered questions that only time will be able to answer.

 

Another whingefest, seen plenty of those. MS is doing good with Phil Spencer at the helm.

 

This isn't so much a "business strategy" as it is your personal opinion(s) and ideas.

I still don't understand why people think: Hardcore Gamer + Game Console = $$$$

If you 100% cater to the "hardcore gamer", you'll find yourself picking up unemployment checks in no time. You have to make it look like you're appealing to them, while in all actuality, you're focusing strictly at the casual market, because that is where
the cash-money is at.
