WWE App not letting me sign in

I can tell you guys what the problem is, (since I seem to be smarter than the "techs" working on this.) I can't believe the techs are this dumb. Anyway, the problem is the stupid way they decided roll out the WWE Network app on Xbox 360. There was already
a WWE app for watching PPVs, for which you had to have an account on WWE.com and pay the typical webcast fee for each monthly PPV. Instead of doing the smart thing and releasing a separate app for WWE Network, they added WWE Network via a patch for the existing
app. Why was this a bad idea? As I mentioned, the original app linked up to a different account, (or at least a different "subscription".) Most likely by doing a patch, they *** up how the app authenticates and the app is currently looking for a monthly
PPV webcast purchase account/subscription, and not a WWE Network subscription.

 

I think the problems with the Xbox 360 app are due to the idiotic way they decided to implement WWE Network on Xbox 360. Yesterday morning I went on the XBL App marketplace to look for the WWE Network app, and it wasn't there. What I suspected turned out
to be the case:

They implemented WWE Network as an update patch for the existing WWE app. This causes a problem that I don't think WWE has even considered yet, (based on reports from lordsofpain.net anyway.) See, the pre-existing WWE app on Xbox 360 was exclusively for
viewing WWE PPVs you would pay to watch ala WWE.com PPV webcasts. Therefore an account for viewing those old format PPVs and an account for WWE Network are not quite the same thing. I believe someone *** up and did not configure the "updated" version of the
WWE app to check account details as they pertain to WWE Network, rather than the previous account credentials needed for viewing the old format PPVs.

They could have avoided this whole mess by just releasing an entirely separate WWE Network app. I'm baffled that these morons haven't figured this out yet.

 

That makes the most sense. I was surprised to not find a completely separate app in the marketplace.

 

Still not working and another flat response saying that they are "working on it". What BS...Well, I guess all the people can enjoy what we are all missing on their PS3, PS4, ROKU, APPLETV, LAPTOP, PC

XBOX GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR @SS already!!!! What a complete clusterf... the past 7 months have been!

 

As of this moment today 2/26/14 it is still not working

Wwe network support hold time is well over 30 mins

Level one person said issue has been fixed. Uninstall then reinstall

Still no joy

Transfer to level 2 support

35 min hold time ( currently hour on phone at this point)

Said issue is known and currently working on it.

Completely contradicts what level 1 said.

So I have paid for a service in which I am locked into for 6 months that I have yet been able to use on a platform that I wish to use it on. A 47inch HDTV

Level 2 said well just watch it on another device.

Sorry I'd like to watch it on a large tv vs. a small iPad that the app actually does work

And apparently play station app works as well.

So...what is going to be done to compensate all the 360 users that still on the 3rd day can't access something they have paid for?

Level 2 guy had no answer for the above question outside of the scripted apologies taped to his monitor.

Kragg, you may have a good point on why this is not working. In fact, I am very disappointed that the new app wasn't even featured on Xbox's regular and App home page. I couldn't even search for it by searching "The WWE Network". Then I browsed apps and
saw the regular WWE app that has always existed but have never used. So I decided to finally DL that app and sure enough it says "WWE Network" on the home page when opening app, but like everyone else I have been getting log-on errors.

 

According to here
support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status WWE is still broken.

 

We all signed up for this wwe app and no one can watch it we should get our money back or a free month but you know that isn't going to happen

 

Just wait until Wrestlemania 30 happens....oh wait...we still won't be able to see it because it will either:

(a) not be fixed still -- "please wait we're working on it"

(b) servers will crash in the first pre-match interview and by then we are already out of our money and stuck in a 6 month contract that has no use still

This is one of the biggest flops yet for this year (and on an established console should not happen)...early 2014 might just take over the 2013 Xbox reversal mess

 

I think Kragg might be on to something. Makes sense since the app is still called WWW Ppvs App in the memory. Can someone who has an old ppv account login and confirm?

But for this not to work now going on day five is ridiculous. Especially with no given update to what is going on. Just the generic "we got you covered xboxers" message on the support page. Apperently you don't have us covered cause we are being left in
the dark about the whole situation.

It's sad enough that there is no Xbox One yet. Probably cause it takes much longer to develop cause you make everyone develop for voice and gesture commands.

We pay for a yearly service which includes support for all features and apps on the console. All we ask is you support us and tell us what's going on, give an eta, and just just over all kept us in the loop besides a generic message that we are working on
it that hasn't changed in 5 days.

Please respond.

 

No it doesn't...I had the old app and it updated on Monday and then went to the usually bs "Cannot login/wrong user name screen".

I tried to delete and download a new version and of ocurse it just freezes at the WWE Network logo for about two minutes and then the same thing happens...I even tweeted Stephanie personally and told her their service is a damn joke so far. Got a message
back saying they are sorry and are "working on it".

 

Just be patient. This has happened with other apps and MS was able to get them fixed; just not overnight. Remember that MS doesn't make the apps or the patches that some of you think are responsible for the issue; the owners of the apps do. In this case,
WWE. MS is doing everything that they can to resolve this issue so that all of you can continue to use the WWE app.

I have been told by WWE they will have it up monday

 

5:43 PM EST and still can not log in...makes me wonder if Microsoft is working on the problem at all.
