WTF is wrong with online? Disconnect issues!

Hi all. Just lately this game seems to be a massive problem. I was playing in a lobby yesterday and every time I got someone into "danger" health, it pops up with "player has returned to lobby".

Now, when we got back to lobby, I was still champion and the other guys were asking what happened as they thought he won?!

also, playing ranked today (several times in fact) I got people down to danger, same message popped up and was put back to menu. In my frustration, I messaged a "why you quit?" message and in reply I got "I don't know what you're talking about, I won and
I ranked up".

WTF is happening here?! I got disconnected 4 times and I gave up.

My internet is fine. NAT is open and am running 35mb down and 7.5mb up.

Please help! It's impossible to play when it's like this.

wtf is wrong with xbox live?

Okay, so I am disconnecting very frequently and its getting very tedious and annoying. There is NOTHING wrong on my end or with my isp.

I'm from the United Kingdom, I have a virgin media super hub and decent speed. My NAT type is constantly open. When I run the test thing in network settings everything is fine and working. Also there is only ever one laptop on in my house so I can't see
how this would affect anything. Yet I still begin to disconnect mid games or experience lag, I will pretty much disconnect at least once a day.

same here! i lag out of games like halo wars, mw3 and RDR but not black ops or anything else. WTF is wrong with my account?

 

There is a test connection option in the settings. Try running that and see what it says. I remember reading on reddit about a guy who had open nat and a great speedtest.net test but doing that connection showed dropping packets.

 

I've been having the same issue as well. Also, since about 3 days ago I have been having lag problems online as well. Not the usual spotty KI netcode, but worse. Every match lags alot to the point where characters start teleporting and the game hangs and
freezes for a half a second, constantly. I refuse to play online anymore until they fix the broken netcode.

I tried connecting my modem directly to the xbox and keep experiencing the same issue so its not my router. My router setup is hardwired, cat 6 cable, and is running upnp so all ports are open. I even do the latency test and theres no visible packet loss,
my latency to the xbox server is usually below 10ms. M ISP speed is 105/22, more than enough for online gaming. For me the online has become too unstable and glitchy.

 

I had the same issues until I uninstalled Combo breaker version and left ultra edition installed it seems that having those two installed at the same time for some reason was bugging out my game. So far it's working flawless for me since I did that.

 

I just have the ultra version. Would deleting and reinstalling not get rid of my stats or are they stored on servers?

 

That's the DESYNC bug. At some point in the match the connection between you and your opponent get's off-kilter and the two of you are essentially playing two different games from that point forward.

Whoever "wins" their match first gets the rank boost and it will appear to the opponent as though the "winner" has rage quit. I've gotten plenty of hate messages for this.

I have NEVER been able to play any lobby matches without desync issues and within the last week or so it has become an increasing problem in ranked matches as well. If I instinct cancel my ender (which I've done for a long time) it will screw up the match
every time now. So I've had to change my play style, but sometimes I still forget.

It sucks but hopefully Iron Galaxy will be able to fix the problem.

 

In truth, all of these crappy online issues has ruined KI for me. At this moment, I really don't even care about KI Season 2, because they have to fix KI season one. I'm so sick of losing matches to people far less skilled than me. It *** me off. EVERY match
I play now encounters slow down, broken frames, loss of audio. Every time I encounter slow down, afterward I am no longer able to combo break, counter break, guard block, and or tech grab. It's like I'm several frames behind the other player.

I'm done. I suffer from GAD and messing with this sort of crap causes me more harm than good. They had a great game and they *** it up. And no folks it isn't YOUR network, it's the netcode. These issues have to be addressed NOW, several months from now or
when KI season two is released... NOW.

 

I've noticed it only over the past few weeks but it is massively frustrating and it's costing me wins. I hope it gets fixed soon but I'm doubtful, especially one season one has finished they'll be working on season 2 instead.

If it carries on its doubtful I'd be buying S2 as half the games I play have these issues so it's a bit pointless.

 

I probably won't be buying season 2 either. The way microsoft has treated this title by hiring small amateur teams and having a small strict budget doesn't inspire confidence in me as a consumer. This game deserves a better treatment than what it's been
given, but knowing Microsoft I doubt they care much about this title. It was just a launch title to get nostalgia suckers to buy an xbox one. If the new team turns out to be good, and microsoft fully backs this game and provides ample resources and funds to
make it what it should be, then I'll change my mind, until then, I'm done with this incomplete beta game as well.

The increasingly low tournament turnout numbers and across the net dead forums should be a good

idea of where this game is headed. Not to mention the next mortal kombat and Ultra street fighter 4 are around the corner
