Wrongly Put in Avoid Me Status

Look, I'm sure thousands of gamers come to these forums every day to complain about how they have been wrongly punished. I'm sure they go on and on about not doing anything while in reality they are guilty of something. I am here because I have legitimately
been placed in "Avoid Me" status for no valid reason other than a large volume of unwarranted reports on my account.

I play Overwatch a lot. I play the competitive mode in Overwatch. I like to play a hero that people consider "not in the meta." Because of this, people report me for "throwing games" by filing an unsportsmanlike conduct against my account. Some people
who have reported me even message me just to tell me that they are reporting me for my hero choice. They do this before the game even starts, so they do not even get a chance to see how I do with said hero. This also automatically throws out the insinuation
that my reports were for voice communications or something else because the match has not even started! I do not throw games whatsoever. I do not harass people in voice chat during my games, and I try as hard as I can when I play competitive. I have a 62%
win percentage with the character that I play, and I made it to Master tier, which is in the top 5% of Overwatch players. It is obvious that I am not throwing games. It is only because I play an unpopular character that I am reported, even though I am good
with him.

Now, because of all these unwarranted reports, I am in the Avoid Me status and am forced to wait 10+ minutes to find online games, if I can find one at all. The Xbox Enforcement page says that the report system is built to withstand abuse, but this is obviously
not the case because I am being punished for no reason.

I'll admit, I slip up and curse at a player every now and then. I talk a little smack whenever I get the best of someone. But I never go overboard with it. I don't keep going, and I don't use racial or homophobic slurs, so even if I was reported for a
little trash talk surely it would not cause me to go into Avoid Me.

I'm sure I am just wasting my energy typing all of this, because I doubt anything will come of it. But in the event that anyone important sees this, I just want to say that I am being punished unfairly for playing a game the way I want to play it while
at the same time not causing trouble for anyone else. I understand there are limits when it comes to "how I want to play a game," but I assure you, I do not do anything to diminish the experience of the players around me. It is only because they do not like
the way I play competitive games, even though I am good with (62% win rate) the heroes I choose.

I was wrongly put into bad sport by a modder

If you are referring to the Xbox reputation system. One person would not put you to the avoid me status. If you have the avoid me status you will just need to work on your reputation. I believe it updates every month.

 

Avoid Me Status

I haven't been on my account since last December. I logged on today and found out that my account was hijacked and the reputation is now Avoid Me. I tried playing a few games and now they eithe don't do find games or it takes forever to find one. I contacted
support an and they said the only way for me to get my reputation back up was to play with other avoid me status players to find games faster? Seems really dumb that i have to suffer through this when it wasnt my fault to begin with. Suggestions?
